Ajilon Communications (formerly TAD Telecom) provides the Communication Industry (voice, data and video) with premier personnel and project services. As part of the Adecco Group of Companies it sits within the Professional Services arena with significant operations in USA and Canada. Operations in the UK were run as an autonomous business unit with bases in Luton and Nottingham with a turnover approaching £3 million.
Ajilon Communications Limited employed over 150 telecomms specialists, the majority of whom belonged to the GMT union and were well represented via internal and external elected officers.
Our interim manager was appointed to “turn around or close down” the company. It had been poorly administered, was overstaffed in the back office and had become dependent upon 2 major clients, when the market collapsed both clients cancelled contracts. He took the decision to cease UK Operations, handing the remaining business to the Canadian counterparts and disposing of UK assets within the Group or through “fire-side” sales.
