In March 2008, Martlet Consulting was commissioned to conduct an immediate audit :

To identify, define and detail issues on the critical path of the sale and subsequent installation and commissioning of product by Cambridge Broadband Networks Limited and, in doing so, establish ownership and potential solutions.

The situation was critical in that the company had recently received a large, overseas order which needed to be successfully and quickly delivered.  It was considered essential that the key stakeholders were canvassed as to their opinion as to where the critical path lay, potential problem analysis and potential problem solution.   As a result our experienced consultant provided the following project deliverables:

• An audit to establish the problems as perceived by the remainder of the management team (and other key personnel).
• Establish problems as perceived by the worldwide sales force – in particular the South African team.
• Establish and suggest solutions to the problems.
• Identify owners for problems – whether they be volunteers or pressed men.
• Provide an outline timeline for problem solution where possible.
• Identify any un-owned problems on the critical path.
• Suggest a way forward.

Within 5 days our consultant presented to the management team and delivered a low cost, flexible and widely accepted solution that was implemented immediately
